Brighton Beach Shoot with Wahidah Fowler
You may know Wahidah from her header on G Style Magazine, as she is the video correspondent there. I’ve have know and worked with Wahidah since she was 17. She has always been available to help me when I needed her for G Style, so I was glad to be able to help her when she said she wanted to redo her portfolio.
I’ve never been to Brighton Beach before or even really that side of Brooklyn. It was a nice quiet beach and seems to be over run with very polite elderly folks who visit there often. One gentleman who spoke with us while we was shooting, mentioned that since he is retired, he comes there everyday for a swim. Not bad at all. The shoot went while and Wahidah was happy with her shots. Overall a great shoot!
33.3 Anniversary Celebration
Over this pass weekend I did a photography gig for a friend of mines mother and father. They were celebrating their 33.3 anniversary. I’m not sure what the .3 part was (I’m assuming an inside joke or some sort lol), but it was a wonderful example of 33 years of loyal marriage. In a generation where the divorce rate is so high, it is good to see a couple take together that long and still share the some love they had for each other since the beginning. The couple celebrated it with an all white affair and though the weather wasn’t cooperating as they had hoped, they made it through and it was a great celebration of their love!
Wahidah Fowler & G Style Magazine
When G Style Magazine needed a new header image for the Winter, I linked up with Wahidah Fowler. I had worked with Wahidah before, and we had actually used Wahidah in G Style Magazine back when we was using our old format for the site. The shoot with Wahidah went well, as I knew it would, and we got a great image out of it plus 2 good videos for G Style Magazine.
